Chromebook Care

This year, RUSD will check out a chromebook to every RUSD student (in-person, virtual, and homebased). In doing so, it is important that we are mindful of how to take care of our Chromebooks so we can continue to use them throughout the school year. Please take a few minutes to watch the "Taking Care of Chromebooks" video with your student.



Here are a few things to remember:

1. Chromebooks should be charged at home at night and brought to school ready to go everyday.

2. Please do not eat or drink while using the Chromebook.

3. Do not place in a school backpack with a water bottle. 

4. When transporting Chromebooks, please carry it CLOSED with both hands. Do not walk or run with the chromebook holding it by the screen.

5. There are firewall protections on each device. The device should be used for school use only. Usage and sites viewed on every RUSD Chromebook is monitored by the District.

6. Families may be financially responsible for any lost or damaged Chromebooks.

** A NOTE ABOUT PERSONAL LAPTOPS

Students still have the option of bringing their own laptop to school.  However these personal devices cannot be serviced by Riverisde STEM Academy Staff.  Families are responsible for making sure they are in working order and ready for learning. RSA is not responsible for theft or damage that may occur to these devices while at school.
